Shelly Cummings, FNP-BC
Shelly was born in California , but has lived all of her life as a West Virginia farm girl in Morgantown. She graduated from a private high school and started her college career in Fine and Performing Arts from Garrett college in Maryland. She worked for EMS as a Medic and thereafter received her undergraduate nursing degrees from Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV and Grand Canyon University out of Phoenix, Arizona. She worked as a medical surgical nurse and then continued her career as a Labor and Deliver nurse at The Family Birth Center at Mon General Hospital where she cared for many newborns and their families. She completed her graduate studies from Wheeling Jesuit University where she received her degree as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her practice at the Clay-Battelle Community Health Center in Blacksville WV and the Burton Clinic near Hundred WV where she cared for the whole family from birth to 99. She went on to specialize in Allergies, Asthma, and Immunology working with many infants and children. She was a member of the Mon General Hospitalist team.Shelly has been married for 31 years and they have three adult children and two grandchildren. Her favorite pass time is spending time in the church she and her husband Pastor in Morgantown where she works with a beautiful group of children and spending time with her own children and grandchildren.
She is also blessed to have a fantastic sister who is also part of our Cardinal Family.
